Foxconn’s third-quarter revenue surges 47% on strong AI demand
Cloud and networking products, along with smart consumer electronics, performed well; Foxconn expects AI-related business to continue growing in the fourth quarter but cautioned that global political and economic conditions remain highly volatile.

Taipei, Oct. 5 (CNA) — Foxconn’s third-quarter revenue surged on strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-related products, reaching a record NT$3.03 trillion from July through September, up 47% from a year earlier and above market expectations.
Foxconn announced its third-quarter revenue on Oct. 5. The NT$3.03 trillion total, equivalent to about US$95.39 billion, exceeded the NT$2.83 trillion forecast from the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) SmartEstimate. Market expectations had been driven largely by continued growth in demand for AI servers and related products.
Foxconn said robust AI demand drove significant revenue growth in its cloud and networking products business. Smart consumer electronics also performed well, including products such as the iPhone.
Monthly revenue also hit a record NT$1.16 trillion in September, up 38% year on year and marking the first time Foxconn’s monthly revenue had exceeded NT$1 trillion.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Foxconn expects its AI-related business to continue growing. Combined with the traditional second-half peak season for electronic products, this should enable overall operations to perform in line with current market expectations, the company said.
Foxconn cautioned, however, that the global political and economic environment remains highly volatile. It said the potential impact of subsequent developments on the industry and the company’s operations would require continued monitoring.
Formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, Foxconn is one of the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturers and a major server manufacturer for Nvidia. As companies worldwide continue to increase investment in AI infrastructure, AI servers and cloud computing-related products have become key growth drivers for Foxconn in recent years.
Foxconn has not provided formal quantitative guidance. The company is scheduled to release its full third-quarter financial results on Nov. 12.
On the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Foxconn shares have gained about 10% so far this year, trailing the approximately 72% rise in the benchmark Taiwan Weighted Index over the same period. Foxconn shares closed 1.2% higher on Oct. 5, while the index rose 2.6%.
Markets are closely watching whether the rapid expansion of the AI industry can continue and whether demand for AI servers will maintain strong growth in the fourth quarter and in 2027. For Foxconn, demand for AI servers, cloud and networking equipment, and smart consumer electronics will be key indicators of its future operating performance.
